Complete Smile Makeover

Proudly serving Chelmsford and surrounding towns.

Rather than being a one-size-fits-all treatment, a complete smile makeover is a unique work of art that is individually crafted for the needs of each individual patient, based upon their goals, needs, and current oral health condition. A smile makeover is a combination of treatments that are carefully selected to work together to dramatically improve the appearance of a patient’s smile.

Some popular elements of a complete smile makeover include:

  • Dental implants
  • Porcelain veneers
  • Dental crowns
  • Invisalign

Dental Implants

Dental implants serve as replacement teeth and consist of three elements: an implanted metal post, an abutment, and a crown.

Your dentist will implant a titanium metal post into your jawbone at your first appointment. After your jaw fuses naturally around your new implant, an abutment will be placed over it to allow for the subsequent placement of a dental crown.

Some patients require a bone grafting procedure because they have insufficient bone mass available to anchor an implant. This will naturally add some time and expense to the implant procedure.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are a thin shell of porcelain attached to the outer surface of teeth to correct minor imperfections like chips and stains. A small amount of tooth enamel will need to be removed prior to the placement of your new veneers. Once placed,  your veneers should last for many years to come.

Invisalign

Invisalign is an innovative system for straightening teeth that has become very popular over the last two decades. It involves the use of multiple sets of clear aligners that shift teeth into their correct positions. About every two weeks, you will be provided with a new set of aligners.

Some key benefits of Invisalign over traditional braces include:

  • Conveniently removable
  • Virtually invisible
  • No food restrictions
  • Comfortable treatment

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are commonly used to shore up a tooth that has been weakened, damaged, or decayed. They help to maintain the strength, size, shape, and appearance of a tooth. Crowns are also commonly placed over dental implants to provide a solid chewing surface that looks like a natural tooth.

Some additional elements to a smile makeover may include:

  • Dental bridges
  • All-On-Four dental implants
  • Gum contouring
  • Full mouth reconstruction

Your Complete Smile Makeover Consultation

The first step in getting a smile makeover is meeting with your dentist during a consultation. The current health and condition of your teeth will be assessed to help develop an individual treatment plan just for you and your unique needs.

Any oral health concerns that come to light during this consultation must first be addressed before receiving cosmetic treatment. An impression of your teeth may be made. You may be provided with a preview of how your teeth and smile should look after your smile makeover.

Next, all of the procedures necessary to complete your smile makeover will be scheduled. There is no standardized makeover treatment or cost. Every patient has a unique situation that calls for different procedures.

If you would like to dramatically enhance the appearance of your smile, schedule a consultation with our dentist to get started today.
